Losing someone you love is one of the hardest things any of us goes through. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to help you keep them close in a way you can hold.
I’m Bryan Randa, a glass artist on Cape Cod. For years I’ve made memorial pieces that hold a small amount of a loved one’s ashes, sealed gently into the glass. When you work with me, you work with the person who actually makes your piece, start to finish. We talk through what would feel right, I make it by hand in my studio, and it comes to you as something truly one of a kind.
This is quieter, more personal work. There’s no rush, just a conversation, and a piece made with care for the person you’re remembering.
What I Create
My work is rooted in the natural world, the sea and the garden, and that’s the heart of the memorial pieces I create.
A loved one’s ashes can be woven into:

Sea Life
turtles, whales, fish and other creatures of the ocean

Garden Pieces
Flowers, plants and botanical forms

Memorial Orbs
Sculptures with ashes suspended in color

Smaller Keepsakes
Share your loved ones among family
How it works
01.
Reach Out When You're Ready
There’s no timeline you need to meet. Whether it’s been days or years, reach out whenever it feels right. Tell me a little about who you’re remembering and what you’re imagining, even if it’s only a feeling. Complete the form below to start.
03.
Sending Your Loved One's Ashes
A memorial kit with instructions and container will be sent to you once you place your order.
05.
Delivered with Care
When your piece is finished I’ll send you photos first. Then it’s carefully hand packed, fully insured, and shipped to you, or you’re always welcome to pick it up at my Pocasset studio.
02.
We Talk It Through
I’ll reach out to listen and to help shape the idea. We’ll talk about the kind of piece, the colors, and anything about your loved one you’d like reflected in it. There are no wrong answers here, and you’re welcome to take your time.
04.
Made by Hand in My Studio
I’ll create your piece, gently incorporating the ashes into the glass. Every piece is made one at a time, with full attention and care. Depending on the piece and my current schedule, this usually takes a few weeks, and I’ll keep you informed along the way.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much of my loved ones ashes do you need? Only a small amount per piece, I will send instructions including the amount needed.
How much does a memorial piece cost? It depends on the size and complexity of the piece. Most memorial pieces have a base price of $300. Once I understand what you’re hoping for, I’ll give you a clear estimate before anything is committed.
Can I have a piece made for a pet? Yes, pets are family, and work lends itself beautifully to remembering them.
Can family members each have their own piece? Absolutely. Many families choose to share a loved one’s memory across several pieces, one for each person. Just let me know and we’ll plan for it together.
How do I send the ashes to you safely? A kit will be sent to you with instructions to ship the cremains back to us for creation of your piece. Cremains need to be shipped to us priority express with signature via USPS regulations OR Fedex and are not shipped back along with the finished work. Any unused ashes can be returned upon request and will be paid by customer. Once the finished piece is completed it will be shipped to you free of charge. Due to recent changes in tariffs and regulations, we are no longer offering international shipping.
What happens to the ashes I send but you don’t use? Ashes can be returned to you upon request if there is any remaining after the work is completed. These would be sent separately from the finished piece. Nothing is discarded, and your loved one’s ashes are kept separate and handled with care throughout.
How long will it take? Usually a few weeks, depending on the piece and my schedule. If you’re hoping to have it by a particular date, a service, an anniversary, a birthday, tell me early and I’ll be honest about what’s possible.
Can I visit the studio? Yes. You are welcome to pick up the piece in person at my Pocasset studio on Cape Cod.
Do you ship internationally? Unfortunately, due to recent changes in tariffs and regulations, I am no longer able to offer international shipping.
